Frederick J. "Fred" Keating, 54, formerly of Foxboro, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 in the Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte, Florida after a lengthy illness.
Born July 23, 1966 in Norwood, he was the son of the late Joseph P. Keating and Mary J. (Reardon) Keating. Raised in Foxboro, he attended Mercymount Country Day School, Bishop Feehan High School Class of 1984 and Massachusetts School of Applied Arts and Sciences.
Fred was a long-time funeral director for his family business, The Joseph P. Keating Funeral Home of Foxboro and Sharon. He helped serve the communities for several years with his genuine compassion and true generosity.
Fred loved taking road trips with Michael, spending times with his friends on Cape Cod and Lauderdale by the Sea, watching the Boston Red Sox, playing golf and dining out on Federal Hill with the Riccios & Company.
The family would like to add a special thanks to Wanda Cutillo and Steve Squibb who provided Fred with loving care during his illness.
Fred is survived by his son, Michael Keating; his siblings, Joseph P. Keating, Jr., Mary Murphy and Anne Keating; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and loyal friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 10:00AM in St. Mary Church, 58 Carpenter St., Foxboro. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Mary's Cemetery, Foxboro.
