Hallisey, of Middleboro, formerly of Brockton, November 16, 2003, Gail E. (Langlois) Hallisey, 55 years. Wife of former Brockton Fire Chief James M. Hallisey. Stepmother of Mary Rose Guillette, James Hallisey, Jr., William Hallisey and John Hallisey.
Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 11am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting Hours Wednesday 3-7pm.
Obituary Information
Gail E. (Langlois) Hallisey, died Sunday evening at the Brockton Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Boston, daughter of the late Alfred and Elna (Falkner) Langlois. She was raised in Middleboro, attended Middleboro schools, and graduated from Middleboro High School. She received her Associates Degree from Massasoit Community College, and also earned her Real Estate License. Gail was employed as an Area Director for the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) when she met her husband the former Fire Chief for the City of Brockton. She had been a long time resident of Brockton until moving a few months ago to Oak Point in Middleboro, where she was very involved with the activities of the Oak Point Community. She enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader, enjoyed writing poetry and time spent with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 19 years, James M. Hallisey, she is survived by her four stepchildren, Mary Rose Guillete of Plainville, MA; James Hallisey, Jr. of Brockton, William Hallisey of Raynham, and John Hallisey of Quincy, eight grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and one sister Linda Minnis of Odenton, Maryland. She was the sister of the late William Langlois who died this past January.
