Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Gary S. Duquette announces his unexpected passing on Sunday, April 26th 2020, at the age of 64. He was preceded in death by his father Edson Duquette and sister Karen Laplante. Gary was born in Brockton, Massachusetts and was raised in both Brockton and West Bridgewater. He graduated from West Bridgewater High School in 1975. Following his graduation, Gary enlisted into the United States Navy. He started and operated his own business, Gary's Steamway in 1980 and just passed his 40th anniversary. Gary enjoyed his work and clients by showing dedication and hard work everyday in every job. He was known for his iconic white and blue van that drove around the streets of West Bridgewater and nearby towns for many years. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his wife Deborah J. Duquette (Adams) and his two daughters Alexandra E. Duquette and Morgan R. Duquette all of West Bridgewater. His mother Esther Duquette (Forman) of West Bridgewater, Brother Edson Duquette Jr. and wife Lori of Acushnet, sisters Denise Pensinger and husband Mark of Middleboro, Brenda Silva and her husband Jeff of Middleboro and Pamela Capachione and husband Paul of Wareham. Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Gary was a kind-hearted, generous man who would befriend and help anyone in need. His positivity left lasting impressions on those who had the pleasure to meet and know him. He had such a great presence. He was an avid golfer, and loved politics, yard work, working out, spending time with family and friends and rides to the Cape Cod Canal to spend time with his wife and two daughters. Along with his hobbies he enjoyed watching The New England Patriots, Boston Celtics and was always tuned into the Golf Channel. Funeral services are private.
