Gary P. Smith, 57, of Brockton, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the loving husband of Lisa (Asack) Smith. Born in Bristol, Connecticut on June 26, 1963, he was the son of the late Peter F. and Jeanne (Dupuis) Smith. Gary graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 1985. Gary was a chef and Proprietor of Peppercorns Restaurant. He enjoyed fishing, playing drums, watching sports, cooking, playing in the snow, and loved to spend time with his many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Lisa, Gary is survived by his brother Wanye and wife Elle Smith; sisters Laurie and husband Santo Smith- Gionfriddo, Cathy and husband David Benoit, and Kym and husband Max Smith; his niece Melissa Smith-Demers; nephew Matthew Smith; and mother-in-Law Nellie Asack. Gary was also survived by his brothers and Sisters of the Asack family and deeply loved many other nieces and nephews who were dear to his heart. He was predeceased by his father in law George Asack. All funeral services are private.
