In Loving Memory of Genevieve (Jean) Picardi

Genevieve (Jean) Picardi, born April 2, 1939 (age 85), of Middleboro, MA, passed away peacefully in her home on April 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Edward Howland Ward, Sr. and Emma (Newall) Ward. Jean was a devoted wife to her husband of 64 years, Robert (Bob) James Picardi, Sr., and always displayed an unwavering love for her family.

Jean was known for her kindness, generosity, and nurturing spirit. She faced life's challenges with grace and strength, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jean's professional journey included various administrative roles, with notable employment at Liberty Mutual Insurance, The Brockton Enterprise, and Signature Health Care. Beyond her professional endeavors, Jean volunteered countless hours as a Librarian's Assistant in her children's elementary school and served as a Cub Scout leader, orchestrating numerous fun-filled and educational activities. However, Jean's most cherished role was that of a dedicated homemaker, where she poured her heart into creating a warm and welcoming home for her family.

Jean was predeceased by her son, Robert (Bobby) James Picardi, Jr., her son-in-law, Anthony Coe, and her dear siblings, Doris Flaherty, Edward Ward Jr., Charles Ward, Frank Ward, and Arthur Ward. While they may no longer be with us, their memories will forever live on in our hearts.

She is survived by her loving spouse Bob, her devoted children, Cheryl Coe and her life partner Martin Bulman, and Michelle Terlecki and her husband Peter, grandchildren, Alexandra Coe, Stephanie Marckini and her husband Paul, and Leanne Terlecki, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jean will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

The wake will be held at Russell & Pica Funeral Home at 17 Main Street in Lakeville, MA on Tues., April 16, 2024 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and followed by a Funeral Service on Wed., April 17, 2024 at 11am followed by an interment at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton, MA.
