Bombard of Rockland formerly of North Easton May 23, 2004 George A. Bombard 74 years. Loving husband of Marie C. (Malley) Bombard.
Visiting hours in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 4-7 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm. Burial at a later date.
Obituary
Mr. Bombard died Sunday at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Boston son of the late George A. and Virginia (Meltzer) Bombard and was raised and educated in Dorchester. For the past two years he had resided in Rockland previously living in North Easton for many years.
During the interim between WW II and the Korean Conflict he served in the US Navy.
Mr. Bombard retired as a mechanic at several local service stations.He loved animals especially his dog, cat and birds.
In addition to his wife of 57 years he is survived by twelve children George A. Bombard, III of Mansfield; Linda M. King of Taunton; Kenneth P. Bombard of Raynham; Darlene H. Crowley of Brockton; Kathleen P. Sutherland of Berkley; John T. Bombard of Rockland; Steven B. Bombard of Brockton; Thomas W. Bombard of Plymouth; Robert J. Bombard of South Easton; Tracey M. Keough of New Bedford; Gregory L. Emerald of South Easton and Lisa M. Emerald of Plymouth. 23 grand children and 7 great grandchildren.
He was the brother of Gladys Mark of Stoughton and the late Virginia DansforthHe also leaves many nieces and nephews
