George S. Fotopoulos, 66, of Sharon, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Born February 4, 1952 in Patra, Greece, he was a son of the late Spyros C. Fotopoulos and Kondylo (Paraskevopoulos) Fotopoulos. George was raised in Greece and served in the Greek Military Artillery. He came to the United States at the age of 23. George was a graduate of Boston State College. He worked as a software engineer for the Medical Information Bureau in Braintree for many years. George had a love for cars. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and reading. He was an avid sports fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was the loving and dedicated father of Katerina-Nicole G. Fotopoulos and Alexander-Spyros G. Fotopoulos. He is also survived by his siblings, Demetris S. Photopoulos and his wife Mary, the wife Ella of the late Constantinos Fotopoulos, Helen Stamoulis and her husband Alex and John Fotopoulos and his wife Maria; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton on Friday, March 2nd from 10:00AM-11:00AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in George's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1324 Belmont St., #204, Brockton, MA 02356.
