Online Obituaries George P. Hembrough, 91, of Brockton, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the Copley of Stoughton. He was the loving husband of 68 years to Dorothy L. (Ebbs) Hembrough. Born March 17, 1925 in Somerville, he was the son of the late Frederick Hembrough and Theresa (Reidy) Hembrough. Raised in Somerville, he graduated from Somerville High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. George was a piano restorationist for several years. He enjoyed painting, reading and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Patrick Hembrough, Dorothy Doherty and her husband Douglas, Teresa Tebeau and her husband David, William Hembrough, Keith Hembrough, James Hembrough and his wife Lauri, Mary Perry, Ann Marie Kelly and Patricia Hembrough; his son-in-law, Anthony Pizzurro; he is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Kevin Hembrough and Kathleen Pizzuro. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday, September 1st at 11:00AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 12:30PM.
