George R. Low, 88, of Brockton, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton. He was the beloved husband of Lucy Consiglia (D'Agostino) Low for 61 years.
Born October 4, 1927 in Norwood, MA he was a son of the late James I. Low and Margaret S. (McLay) Low. Raised and educated in Scotland, he served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from 1946 1948. George worked for the Navy as a Quality Control Inspector at General Dynamics in Quincy, MA and Groton, CT.
George enjoyed dancing, traveling, woodworking, bowling and going to the casinos. He volunteered many years at the Brockton Council on Aging Senior Center assisting his wife with planning trips and running the Bingo games. During his early retirement, he and his wife attended and graduated from the Senior Citizens Police Academy and went on patrols with the Brockton Police Department.
George and his wife Lucy raised money and sent packages to our Armed Forces, purchased bulletproof vests for our police officers and also purchased bricks for the Senior Center Patio. He had a sense of humor and liked to tease. He was loved by all who met and shared life with him.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother, William T. Low and his wife Donna of Rockland and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late George A. Joe Low and the brother of the late, James and Alexander Low.
He is sadly missed and will never be forgotten. Until we meet again, so long for now. Love forever, Wife Lucy

Private interment in the family lot at Calvary Cemetery, Brockton took place on Thursday, June 2nd, 2016.
