George Mor, 91, of Brockton, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Florence (Babicz) Mor.
Born June 18, 1924 in Harrisville, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Dr. Henry Morrier and Yvonne (Jourdain) Morrier. George was a decorated World War II Navy Veteran.
George was a pioneer and Mayor of Bay City, Alaska. General contractor and a heavy equipment operator.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, George Mor and his wife BeeBee, Joyce Mor, Jim Mor and his wife Jean, Betty Mor and Susan Froio and her husband Robert; his granchildren, Jennifer Stacy, Jimmy Mor, Brian Mor, Nicole Froio, Michael Froio, Michelle Silva, Georgie Mor, Matthew Mor, Alex Frans, Ashley Terry and the late Daniel Mor; his great grandchilden, Lavanna Froio, Noah Silva, Beverly Hooke, Hunter Stacy and Freyja Stacy; his sisters, Rose Mehegan and Dorilda Darund; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edward Morier.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday at 8:00AM thence to Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Thursday 4:00-8:00PM.
