Paone of Brockton January 28, 2006 George A. Paone 73 years. Beloved husband of Joan M. (Miconi) Paone. Loving father of Enrico “Ricky” Paone and Deborah Pfistner both of Brockton. Grandfather of Stacy and Enrico Paone, Jr., Kimberly Wallant, Joshua and Laurie Pfistner.
Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 11 am with visitation 10-11. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 pm.

Obituary

Mr. Paone died Saturday evening at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Brockton a son of the late John and Maria (Valente) Paone. He remained a lifelong resident of the city and was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1952.During the Korean Conflict Mr. Paone served in the US Army with the Strategic Air Command in Okinawa. He also had served for 20 years in the Army Reserves and retired as a sergeant.
He had been the proprietor of the Jenney Gas Station and Arco Gas Station both in Brockton. He then worked for 20 years as a civilian diesel mechanic at Ft. Devens Army Base.
Mr. Paone had been a member of the American Legion in Brockton and the Elks in Middleboro.
For many years Mr. Paone had enjoyed his summer home at Rose Point Beach in Wareham. He loved to fish and garden in his yard. Mr. Paone had been a longtime communicant of St. Colman Church.
He is survived by his wife Joan M. (Miconi) Paone.He was the father of Enrico “Ricky” Paone and Deborah Pfistner both of Brockton and grandfather of Stacy and Enrico Paone, Jr., Kimberly Wallant, Joshua and Laurie Pfistner.
He also leaves three sisters, Theresa Kelley of Brockton, Marion Fortin of Abington, Rita Ritucci of Brockton, two brothers, John Paone of Plymouth and Nicholas Paone of Easton and many nieces and nephews
