George Potsis, 96, of Brockton, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020. He was the husband of the late Areti (Pappas) Potsis. Born on March 10, 1924 in Kefalovriso, Greece, he was the son of the late Panagiotis and Chrisoula (Nitas) Potsis. George served in the Greek Army from 1946 to 1949 and immigrated to the United States in 1969. Prior to his retirement he worked as a Cabinet Maker and Maintainer for the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Brockton. George enjoyed hunting, carpentry, singing and spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family. He is survived by his son Ilias Potsis and his wife Christine, his daughters Sophia Dosis and her husband Pavlos, and Chrisoula Palantzas and her husband Nick. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Peter and George Potsis, Christo, Labrini and Alexa Dosis, and Vicky and Dimitrios Palantzas and his seven great-grandchildren Anthony, Gino, Adrianna, CJ, Gia, Niko, and Elias.
