Obituary

George F. Savage, 84 years, of South Dennis died November 16, 2010 at Jordan Hospital, Plymouth. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lucinda M. (Gibson) Savage. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, he was the son of the late Lewis and Elizabeth R. (Fantom) Savage.

After serving as a Marine in the Pacific-Mariana Islands he was employed many years as a skilled craftsman and was a member of the old Brockton Sport Club in Campello. George was an avid gardener and fisherman.

He is also survived by his children Paul M. Savage of South Dennis, Ann Christensen and her husband Hal of Virginia, Linda Savage and her husband John Burnham of Marstons Mills, Alan Savage and his wife Jill of South Dennis and a brother Clyde Savage of East Bridgewater. Also 8 grandchildren, Jennifer, Katie, Ryan, Theresa, Allison, Zachary, Cassidy, Abbigail and 8 great grandchildren, Colby, Summer, Dylan, Evan, Alyssa, William, Chase and Bella. He was the brother of the late Earl and Lewis Savage.

A Celebration of his life will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday 10am-12pm. Burial will follow at a later date in Coweeset Cemetery, Brockton, MA.
