George E. Theofilou
George Eleftherios Theofilou, 73, of Brockton died unexpectedly following a short illness, Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Boston. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Iliadis) Theofilou.
Born February 27, 1936 in Piraeus, Greece, he was the son of the late Eleftherios and Sophia (Totos) Theofilou. George and his family immigrated to Boston in 1956. He founded Crafter's Associates in Boston's Jeweler's building in 1966, and built an impeccable reputation as Boston's premier high end precious metals custom craftsman.
George enjoyed gardening, spending time with his beloved wife, children and grandchildren. He lived an admirable life as husband, father, and grandfather. George was an honest, generous, hard working, respectful and a brave man whose heart was made of gold. He was passionately committed to his family and loving and kind to all that new him. He will be missed dearly by all.
He is survived by his beloved wife Maria; his children, Eleftherios (Terry) and his wife Maria and Vasilios (Bill) and his wife Stacey Theofilou; his grandchildren, Francesca, Sophia, Alexander, and Anna. He was the cherished brother of Mary Xixis and her husband Thanos.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday, July 29th at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM. The Rev. John Kiramarios will officiate. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Tuesday 5:00-9:00PM.
