Georgia (Merianos) Plessas Georgia (Merianos) Plessas , 83, of Brockton died Friday, March 20, 2009 at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. She was the wife of Petros A. Plessas. Born June 13, 1925 in Krokeai, Laconia, Sparta, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Peter Merianos and Eugenia (Kalogerakos) Merianos. Raised in Greece, Georgia came to the United States in 1974. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. She is survived by her husband, Petros A. Plessas of Brockton; her children, Despina Plessas of Brockton and Jenny (Plessas) Kakas and her husband Dimitri N. Kakas of Sharon; her grandchild, Marianna Kakas of Sharon. She was also the sister of the late George, Nick, Loui Merianos and Marigo Solomos; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, March 23rd at 10:00AM followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton at 11:00AM.
