Online Obituaries Gerald T. Dennis, 83, of Brockton, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at his home after a long battle with dementia and cancer. He was the loving husband of Audrey P. (Frank) Dennis for 46 years. Born April 1, 1933 in Bay City, Michigan, he was the son of the late Gerald R. and Evelyn P. (Bedell) Dennis, also of Michigan. He was raised in Bay City and proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served for over 20 years. Gerald retired in 2008, due to the onset of dementia, after many years in contract maintenance management. In his free time, he enjoyed fast-pitch softball, hunting, fishing, camping and spending quality time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Steven M. Dennis and his wife Deborah of Woonsocket RI, Gerald R. Dennis of Bay City MI, Daniel J. Dennis and his wife Bobbi Jo of Attleboro MA, Diana M. Manooshian and her husband Matthew of Randolph MA, and David M. Dennis and his wife Christy of Brockton MA; his grandchildren, Stacey, Jacob, Logan, Giselle, Emily and Mason; his great-grandchildren, Ryan and Cameron; his mother in law, Winifred C. Frank, Lakeville, MA; his sister Donna M. McRae and her husband James of AL; his sister in law, Rosemarie Gallagher and her husband James of Lakeville, MA; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert Paige, Esther Nichols, and Violet Sylvester. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., WEST BRIDGEWATER on Wednesday, July 6th at 10:30AM thence to St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 103 Center St., Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 11:30AM.
