O’Connor, of Brockton, August 6, 2002, Gerald C. O’Connor, Sr. 61 years. Husband of Louise C. (Arnholt) O’Connor. Father of Gerald C. O’Connor Jr. and his wife Suzanne M. and Robert W. O’Connor. Grandfather of Sabrina E. O’Connor. Brother of William P. and David J. O’Connor.

Burial will be held at a later date in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Arrangements by the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Brockton.

Obituary Information

Mr. O’Connor died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at the Brockton Hospital. Born and raised in Arlington, MA, he was a son of the late William P. and Florence E. (Ellingwood) O’Connor. He was a graduate of Arlington High School and attended Northeastern University. He was employed as a draftsman for the Boston Gear Company for many years and retired from H & W Pharmaceutical Powers two years ago. He had been a resident of Brockton for the past 33 years. Mr. O’Connor was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Navy on the USS Bon Homme Aircraft Carrier. He enjoyed carpentry and working in his yard.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Louise C. (Arnolt) O’Connor, 2 sons Gerald C. O’Connor Jr. and Robert W. O’Connor, 1 granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of William P. and David J. O’Connor.
