Obituary

Geraldine R. Lyons 88 years of Brooklyn, New York died Thursday March 20, 2008. She was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary (Lee) Lyons and was a graduate of Brockton High School. During WWII she enlisted in the US Navy as a nurse and was stationed in San Diego. Following her discharge from the WAVES she moved to Brooklyn and resided there for over 60 years. Ms. Lyons owned her own Import and Export company at the World Trade Center. When living in Brooklyn, Ms. Lyons was involved in children’s charities and her local church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and was the sister of the late Irene Belmore, Mary McCabe, James Lyons and Edward Lyons.
Visitation in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday 9-10 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Parish/St. Edward Church at 10:30 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
