Obituary

Geraldine “Jerry” Wohlen, 59 years, died Saturday May 8, 2004 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after being hospitalized for several weeks. Jerry was born, raised and educated in Georgia. She moved to Brockton as a young woman where she met and married James H. Wohlen; their union went on to span almost four decades. Although Jerry has no children many of her six nieces and nine nephews thought of her as a “second mother”. She had a great deal of love and compassion for children and animals. Her life revolved around her family and friends of which she had many. Being a diligent worker and homemaker, she had little leisure time, but she did enjoy country music concerts, trips for Foxwoods, her small garden and time with her little dog Lance.

She is survived by her husband, James H. Wohlen, two sister-in-laws, Debra Blanchette of Marion and Sharon Owens of Brockton and six nieces and nine nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
