Gerard Maurice Gibbs passed away unexpectedly on Sunday April 14, 2024 after a brief illness. He was born on July 31, 1981 in Boston, MA. to Tanya Michelle Gibbs and George Hood Jr.

After moving to Brockton as a teenager, Gerard attended Brockton High School. Throughout Brockton everyone knew and loved Gerard aka Gee.

He was widely known for his style and flare; Gee could not leave the house without looking his best. It was typical for him to have a ring on every finger and a few gold necklaces hanging from his neck. Gee was an avid sneaker collector and had a unique sense of fashion. Music was dear to his heart, and he would always try to put you on to his favorite tune. Gee enjoyed being with family and friends. However, Gee enjoyed spending time with his sons above all else.

Gee is survived by his parents Tanya Michelle Gibbs of Fall River, MA and George Hood Jr. of Columbia, SC. His Brothers Tyrod Gibbs of Brockton, MA., Tyrece Gibbs of Hampton, NH., Antoine McKoy of Brockton, MA., Marquis Gibbs of Plymouth, MA, and George Hood Ill of Taunton, MA. Four sisters Le'Toya Robinson of Charlotte, NC., Chaquita McKoy of Brockton, MA., Jelisa Alves-Offley of Foxboro, MA., and Tanya Gibbs of Fall River, MA. He was preceded in death by his brother Corey McKoy of Brockton, MA.

Gee leaves to cherish his memories his sons; Javante Gibbs of Randolph, MA., Gerard Gibbs Jr. of Wareham, MA., and Gerell Gibbs of Fall River, MA., His Grandparents Dorothy Gibbs of Brockton, Massachusetts and George and Hilda Hood of Columbia, South Carolina. Along with his partner Danielle Sergio and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and friends to celebrate his life. Gee is Gone, but Never Forgotten!!! We Loved You.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 30th from 9:00-10:30 AM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton followed by a funeral service. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
