Kelly and his wife Claire, Mary E. Murphy and her husband John, Gertrude A. “Trudy” Kelly, William J. Kelly and his wife Susan, Anne F. Manning and her husband Robert, John F. “Jay” Kelly and his wife Linda and James P. Kelly and his wife Nancy. Sister in law of Mary Leach of Cotuit.
Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Edward Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8pm. Donations in her name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140.
Obituary Information
Mrs. Kelly died Friday at home after a brief illness. She was born in Brockton, daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Tuite) Curtin, and had been a lifelong resident. She attended Brockton schools, and was a homemaker who stayed at home to raise her eight children. She volunteered at St. Casimir Church and school, and was a communicant of both St. Edward Church and St. Casimir Church. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was the wife of the late Deputy Fire Chief BFD John F. Kelly and is survived by five sons Daniel C. Kelly, of Rochester, New Hampshire, Robert E. Kelly of Punta Gorda, FL, William J. Kelly of Brockton, John F. “Jay” Kelly of Holbrook, James P. Kelly of Brockton, and three daughters Mary E. Murphy of Brockton, Gertrude A. “Trudy” Kelly, of Brockton and Anne F. Manning, of Bridgewater, 20 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Peter Curtin of Brockton, William Curtin of Brockton, Margaret Paynter of Daytona Beach, FL and Anne Lanoue of Brockton. She was the sister of the late Ramona Reardon, Mary Reardon, Joseph Curtin, John Curtin, Anthony Curtin and Robert Curtin.
