Glikeria (Palantzas) Hatzinikolau, 91, of Brockton, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was the wife of Alexandros Hatzinikolau for 70 years.

Born in Avgerinos, Greece on May 29, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Nikolaos and Efthimia Palantzas.

Glikeria, her husband and three children emigrated to the United States in June, 1966. She worked as a seamstress at various factories throughout the years, retiring from Davis Clothing Company in Brockton.

She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, where she participated in all activities including as a key member of the baking crew preparing for the church's annual festival. She was also a member of the Annunciation Ladies Philoptochos Society, and the Ladies Pan-Macedonian Society where she also served as president.

In addition to her husband Alexandros, Glikeria is survived by her children, Susan Mantoulis, Christine Potsis and her husband Ilias, and Steven Hatzinikolau and his wife Victoria; her grandchildren, Anastasia DeCotis, Peter and George Potsis, and Alex and Yianna Hatzinikolau. She was predeceased by her grandson John Mantoulis. She is also survived and was dearly loved by seven great-grandchildren who were the light of her life; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives in the United States and in Greece.

Calling hours in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton on Wednesday, February 5th from 10:00AM-11:00AM followed by a funeral service in the church at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
