Obituary

Gloria B. (Crest) Burke, age 94, of Lakeville, Mass. returned to the Lord on October 27, 2022 after a period of failing health.

Born, raised and educated in Brockton, she was a devoted daughter of the late John Crest and Catherine (Callahan) Crest. She was the wife of late Irving “Bud” Burke and sister of the late Jean Adams, John “Cal”, Daniel and Edmund Crest.

Gloria enjoyed cooking, reading, history, animals and spending time with her beloved family.

For many years, she was a diet cook at the former St. Luke's Hospital in Middleboro. She also held the same position at St. Joseph`s Manor nursing home in Brockton.

Gloria is survived by her daughter Catherine Hull, with whom she made her home; her son John Burke and his fiancé Jean Lowe; her grandchildren John Burke and his wife Jennifer and their children Taylor and Alyssa; her granddaughter Julie Stabinsch and her husband Paul and their children Isabella, Mikayla and Riley. Gloria is also survived by several nieces: Edna Jean Sierra, Merrilee Nye, Diane Crest-Lamore, Paula and Jan Crest, Cheryl Crane, Diane Correia and a nephew Kenneth Crest and his wife Nancy.
