Gloria Anne Dupre, 92, of Bridgewater, MA., passed away peacefully in her home on September 24, 2024. She was married to the late Carl W. ("Sonny") Dupre) for 69 years before he passed in January of 2020.

Gloria is survived by her daughter Michelle (Dupre) Bourke and her husband John of Bourne, her son Derrick Dupre and his wife Lynn of Bridgewater, her sister Barbara (Giovanini) Metcalf, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, her nieces and nephews and their spouses.

Gloria was born on March 22 , 1932, in Bridgewater, MA to Henry A. Giovanini and his wife Esther (Tassinari) Giovanini. She was raised in Bridgewater, MA, and graduated from Bridgewater High School in 1949. Gloria and Carl were married in 1951 in Bridgewater where they raised their family.

Aside from traveling with her husband, Gloria loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking for them and hosting the family holiday and birthday parties. Her favorite hobby was taking photos of the family, printing them herself, making photo albums and displaying current photos around her home. She especially enjoyed her fun summers at Hideaway Village on Cape Cod with her close friends and their families who she kept in touch with year-round with phone calls and cards. She never forgot a birthday or holiday and secretly reminded family members as those dates came near. She was truly the heart of the family.

Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital . This was her favorite charity and is preferred in lieu of flowers.
