Obituary

Gloria L. Fisher age 72 of Brockton died Thursday July 3, 2014 at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich after a lengthy illness. She was born and raised in Taunton, a daughter of the late Clement and Louise (Loud) Fisher. Her father died when she was very young and she was then raised by her mother and step-father Arthur Williams. For the past 10 years Gloria had been a resident of Brockton living at the Belair Street High Rise.
Gloria had been a waitress for many years in local restaurants and 10 years ago retired from the Avon Town House. She loved to shop, attend auctions and visit flea markets, always in search of a bargain. She lived her life for her son Michael whom she loved dearly.
Gloria was the mother of Michael W. Wade of New Bedford and the late Richard Scott Wade and Barry Lee Wade and grandmother of Ericka Derouen. She was the sister of Jay Fisher of Wareham, Arthur Williams of Brockton, Joyce Holbrook of Stoughton and the late Jean Brady.
Gloria’s Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton on Wednesday at 11 am preceded with visitation 10-11 am. Burial in Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
