Grace M. (Melchionno) Florio Grace M. (Melchionno) Florio , 87 of Brockton passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011 at her home under the care of hospice and her family. She was the wife of the late Alfred Florio. Born July 2, 1923 in Braintree, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Mary (Azzato) Melchionno. She was raised and educated in Braintree. Grace worked as a collator for the Brockton Enterprise for many years. She was a resident of Brockton for over 55 years. Grace was an avid bingo player who loved to play cards with her friends. Most of all, she was devoted to her family. She is survived by her children, Alfred "Fred" Florio of Brockton and Barbara Slater, and her husband Robert "Bob" of West Bridgewater. She was the beloved and devoted grandmother, "Mimi," of Terri Morgan of Braintree, Gina Estabrooks of West Bridgewater, Daniel Slater of Brockton, Katie and Matt Florio both of Hanover; her two brothers, Robert and Leonard Melchionno both of Brockton. She is also survived by her 4 great-grandchildren, Sophia and Grace Morgan, Mia and Jack Estabrooks, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Theresa Cordaro, Elsie Vignoni, Rose Bonani, Albert, Henry, Nicholas and Thomas Melchionno, Gloria Barrale, Antoinette Smith and Mary Graziano. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Tuesday at 9:00AM thence to St. Ann Church, 103 North Main St., West Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Monday 4-7PM.
