Obituary

Grace Ethel (Burns) Pomerleau was born on September 3, 1934 to the late Norman and Helen Burns in Randolph, MA. During her schooling, Grace excelled academically and was very athletic. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Bertrand Pomerleau. Bert and Grace were introduced by her cousin Pat when they went on a double date with Pat and Bert's brother Albert (both couples later married!) Bert affectionately called her "Amazing Grace".

Grace was a stay at home mother to her six children while they were young. Once her children grew, Grace was employed as a kitchen aide at a nursing home. After her husband's passing in 2001, Grace worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton as the switch board operator until her retirement at the age of 83. She enjoyed card games, reading, puzzle books and cooking but her favorite past time was spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Grace was predeceased by her youngest son John and his daughter Renee, 8 of her siblings and her son-in-law Brian Horgan. She leaves behind her children Diane Horgan, Peter (Debbie) Pomerleau, Joseph (Karen) Pomerleau, Paul Pomerleau, and Helen Carbonara. Grace was the proudest grandmother to 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. Grace has one surviving sister, Joan (Harry) Toland of CT.

At the family's request, services will be private.
