Gregoria Miranda Gregoria Miranda , 91, of Brockton, died Friday, October 24, 2008 at her home in Brockton under the care of her family and hospice. Born May 9, 1917 in San Antao, Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Jose Miranda and Maria (Gomes) Miranda. She enjoyed reading, knitting, card tricks, telling jokes, and origami. She is survived by her children, Maria Lopes and Odette Miranda; her grandchildren, Patrick Fernandes, Emmanuel Fernandes, Cynthia Adjain, and Katia Lopes; her great grandchildren, Julien Fernandes, Kristian Fernandes, Keann Fernandes, and Justin Fernandes; her sister, Camila Miranda. Funeral Information Funeral service in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton on Tuesday, October 28th at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
