Obituary

Gwendolyn E. (Roe) McElroy age 69 of South Easton died Monday January 12, 2015 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. She was the wife for 40 years of the late William L. McElroy. Gwendolyn was born and raised in Mt. Clemens, Michigan a daughter of the late Fred and Violet (Stevens) Roe.
She graduated as president of Brockton Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1990 and had worked in area nursing homes. Gwendolyn had served US Army 1980-1986 and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant and earned the Army Commendation Medal.
She is survived by her three children Bill McElroy of Raynham, Kelley Pereira of South Easton and Jennifer Dellacioppa of New Hampshire. She was the grandmother of Taylor, Julianna, Ashlie and Jayden and sister of Jackie Logan and the late Thomas Roe.
A graveside service will be held in Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham Friday January 16, 2015 at 1pm.
