Haikal K. Haikal, 83, of Brockton, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 surrounded by his family at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Jeanette M. (El-Khoury) Haikal.
Born February 9, 1930 in Bsaleem, Lebanon, he was the son of the late Kaiser Haikal and Nabeeha (Hadeer) Haikal.
While living in Lebanon he worked in the banking industry and also was very proud of being the personal chef to the Ambassador of Japan. He was also known as a prestigious poet.
In 1972 he immigrated to Brockton where he truly enjoyed cooking. He was the chef at the Pub Restaurant in Brockton for 36 years, retiring in 2008.
Haikal enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed all politics and government issues. He was an avid sports fan of the Patriots and Celtics and loved the Boston Red Sox. He loved to garden.
He was a communicant of St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church and a member of the Conti Club for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette M. (El-Khoury) Haikal of Brockton; his children, Claude Haikal Guiney and her husband James of Canton, Michael H. Haikal and his wife Paula of Easton and Salma H. Haikal of Easton; his grandchildren, Michael K. Haikal and Christian J. Haikal; his siblings, Azizi Elmteyne, Assad Haikal, Barbar Haykal and Yameme Saba; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Joseph, Aziz and Nassif Haikal.

Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, April 30th at 9:30AM thence to St. Theresa Maronite Catholic Church, 343 No. Main St., Brockton where the Service of the Devine Mysteries will be celebrated at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Monday 5:00-8:00PM with an incense service at 7:00PM.
