Obituary

Hans G. "Andy" Andersen 80 years of Holbrook died July 20, 2005 at the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health.
He was born in Somerville a son of the late Hans and Lovina (Hellyer) Andersen. He was raised in educated in both Someville and Arlington and was a graduate of Arlington High School. Since 1948 Mr. Andersen had been a resident of Holbrook.
During WW II Mr. Andersen served in the US Navy stationed in the Pacific Theater.
For many years he had been a long distance truck driver for Keith Fulton Company in Cambridge. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
In his retirement Mr. Andersen was a member of the Holbrook Board of Health.
His interests included playing the guitar, travel and a longtime membership with the Masons. He was also an animal lover.
He is survived by one niece Karen L. Brunelle of Worcester, a great niece Lisa Brunelle of Worcester and a great grand niece and nephew Victoria and Nicolas Ortiz.
He was the brother of the late Arline D. Newman.
Graveside services with military honors will be held Thursday at 12:45 pm in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
