Harold W. Choate, Jr., 94, of Easton, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at his home under the care of his family and hospice. He was the loving husband of Shirley E. (DePasqua) Choate for 72 years. Born April 15, 1925 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Harold W. Choate and Mildred (Hollertz) Choate. Raised in Brockton, he graduated from Brockton High School in 1943. He then served in the United States Navy during WWII. Harold was a manager at Draper Laboratories for several years. He is survived by his children, Richard H. Choate and his wife Gail, Donald P. Choate and his wife Claire, Robert M. Choate and his wife Mary Ellen and Laurie C. Morris and her husband Stephen; his grandchildren, Lisa Marie Bisbee and her husband Andrew, Matthew R. Choate and his fiancé Kim and Michael B. Choate and his wife Kate; his great-grandchildren, Ava J. Bisbee, Tyler W. Bisbee, Emily G. Choate and Alyssa Wisniewski; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Barbara Smith. Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday from 5:00-8:00PM. Funeral services and interment will be private.
