Packard of Brockton, May 25, 2002, Harold E. Packard Sr. 77 years. Husband of the late Marian J (Makepeace) Packard. Father of Harold E. Packard, Jr. and his wife Linda of Bridgewater; Claudia Cummings and her husband James of Whitman; Karen Mussman and her husband Mark of Mashpee; Judith Kane of Whitman; Nellyn Packard of Brockton, and the late George Packard.

Funeral service in the J. Frank Conley, Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Tuesday at 8 PM. Burial Wednesday in Wendell Cemetery Holbrook. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-8 PM. Donations in Harry’s memory may be made to the Brockton Visiting Nurse’s Association 500 Belmont St. Brockton 02301.

Harold E. Packard, Sr. died Saturday morning at Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health.Born in Brockton , son of the late Arthur E. and Nellie (Chandler) Packard.He was raised and educated in the Brookville section of Holbrook.For the past 25 years he resided in Brockton.During WW II Mr. Packard served in the US army in France

He was a retired auto mechanic having worked at Corsin’s Garage and Purchase Texaco both in Brockton.He enjoyed time spent talking about his grandchildren and teasing them every chance he got.He enjoyed talking about cars and attending all kinds of auto shows.He also liked attending the South Weymouth Air Shows.Over the past few years he enjoyed watching the Red Sox on television
