Obituary

Harry L. Nelson Harry L. Nelson , 77, of Bridgewater, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston surrounded by his family after a long struggle with heart disease. He was the husband of the late Camille (Porazzo) Nelson who passed away in April of this year. Born October 17, 1932 in Brockton he was a son of the late Roy and Violet (Chapman) Nelson. He attended Brockton schools and moved to Bridgewater 30 years ago. Harry served in the United States Army National Guard. He worked as a foreman at Cape Cod-Cricket Lane Inc., of West Bridgewater for over 40 years of dedicated service from which he retired in the early 1990's. Over the years Harry belonged to many bowling leagues and enjoyed playing cards, bingo, woodworking and gardening. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics. He is survived by his four children, Lisa M. Nelson, Traci J. Nelson, Lynn A. Nelson all of Taunton and Scott A. Nelson and his wife Nancy of Valrico, FL; his grandchildren, Kelley A. (Nelson) DaRosa, Megan and Kyle Nelson: his great-grandchild, Alana DaRosa; his brother, Richard F. Nelson and his wife Judy of Dennis; his close niece, Joanne Gately of Stoughton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was the brother of the late Roy Edward Howard Nelson, Donald W. Nelson and Doris A. Nelson Funeral Information Funeral services will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, July 17th at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Friday 4:00-7:00PM.
