Hector "Tito" Fernandez died unexpectedly in Brockton Ma on January 18, 2023, at the age of 78. Tito is survived by his wife, Joanne Fernandez; children, Juanita Collazos, and Jose Gonzalez Jr.; siblings, Marcello Plaza of San Felipe Chile. He is preceded in death by his parents Luisa and Alejandro Plaza, San Felipe Chile. Tito was an adorned grandfather to Cynthia, Stacey, Lillian, Stephanie, Arianna, Dominic, and great grandfather to Madalyn, Jackson, and Jacob.

Tito was born on October 18, 1944, in San Felipe, Chile to Luisa and Alejandro Plaza. He married Joanne, in 1982. After moving to Boston, Tito began working as a sous chef for several high-end restaurants. His children remember him as a funny, driven, and a fair but stern father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Tito was accomplished at playing Pool, Domino's, Soccer and as a Conguero. He was a dedicated individual who loved Latin and Classical music and who was passionate about cooking and feeding others. He was an active and dedicated member of the Amvets Post 28 J J Rice in Dorchester Ma.

A funeral is scheduled for January 27, 2023, from 6-8pm at Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street, Brockton Ma. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tito's life. The family would like to thank Brockton EMT and Fire Department, and Good Samaritan Hospital's Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit staff for their efforts, care, dedication to Tito during his unexpected illness.
