Kennedy of Brockton March 15, 2007, Helen M. (deGrandmont) Kennedy, 90 years. Wife of 61 years of the late Murdock “Ken” D. Kennedy. Mother of Sharon H. Robinson of Brockton, Carol M. Drew of Brockton and a son, James F. Kennedy of W. Bridgewater. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A Private Graveside Service was held today in the family lot in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Donations may be made in memory of Helen to the Hospice of Greater Brockton, 500 Belmont St., Brockton, MA 02301.

Obituary

Helen M. (deGrandmont) Kennedy, 90 years, died Thursday morning at the Brockton Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of 61 years of the late Murdock “Ken” D. Kennedy. She was born, raised and educated in Brockton, the daughter of the late Frederick and Helena B. (Canavan) deGrandmont.
Mrs. Kennedy was a homemaker and an avid painter in oil textile, and displayed her worked in the Fuller Museum and the Brockton Fair and won many awards for her paints. She loved ballroom dancing where she danced in New Bedford many years ago. Mrs. Kennedy also enjoyed playing the piano.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon H. Robinson of Brockton, Carol M. Drew of Brockton and a son, James F. Kennedy of W. Bridgewater, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
