He was born in Cape Verde on January 15, 1953 to Augusta (Fernandes) and the late Severino Lopes. MuMu loved to travel and was multilingual, speaking five different languages. A distinguished gentleman with a beautiful soul, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his mother; Augusta Fernandes, MuMu is survived by his 10 children: Natersa Vaudagna, Danilo Lopes, Maria DaLomba, Henrique Lopes, Jr., Jose Barbosa, Tanya McGee, Saira Lopes, Eveline Lopes, Agueda Rodrigues and Domingos Lopes; his 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and 23 brothers and sisters. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (rt123) Brockton on Sunday, February 13th from 2:00PM-6:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 14th at 10:00AM in St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 Main St., Brockton. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
