It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hermina A. Wade, 94, of Brockton, MA on October 25, 2022.

The daughter of the late Hendrik and Derkje (Lenderink) Van Driessen of Lemelerveld, Overijssel, Netherlands.

The devoted wife of the late Dennis Wade.

Beloved mother of Carolina (Joseph) Cesar, Hendrik (Mignon) Wade, Derkje Wade, Walter Wade, Jasemen (Robert) Wade and O'Neil (Maria) Pemberton.

Beloved grandmother of Monique Cesar, Marina Cesar, Myella (Stephan) Leiba, Eleanna (Dane) Hurst, the late Leon Gumbs, LaTisha Wade-Shaka, Gracie Wade-Shaka, Tara Wade, Nicole Wade, Jasemen (Joshua) Hiatt, Dennis (Theresa) Wade, Lesley (Johnathan) Crosbie, Marcus Pemberton, Shian Howard and Aldo Pemberton.

Beloved Opo'e to many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

Hermina was born in the Netherlands and that is where she met her husband Dennis Wade, who was in the Army. Their love for one another was stronger than the language and social barriers of their time. They married and moved to the small Caribbean Island of Nevis where they raised their family.

Hermina lived a life for her family and she was always there to hug and comfort those in need. She loved gardening, church, her dog King (and many other dogs and birds throughout her years), but most importantly, her family. The many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren were her greatest joys. She was a hard-working woman who was not afraid to get her hands dirty. She loved her flower garden in Nevis and was the envy of the neighbors. Her home was a sanctuary for so many and she would always welcome strangers from all over the world to stay with her. Her arms and heart were always open.

Most of her working life she drove a taxi, worked as a nurses aide and It also a Dutch translator. She touched so many lives around the world and made so many friends that they are too many to mention.

We will miss her smile, her hugs and her way of caring beyond words.

Visitation will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main Street, West Bridgewater on Friday, October 28th from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral Home service will be held at 11:30 a.m. followed by burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
