Hortencia Ledo de Pina da Veiga, known as Tanxinha, born in Cova Figueira on June 8, 1952, Ilha Fogo, had 9 brothers, traveled to City of Praia and met Domingos da Veiga, married in 1972 and had 6 children, 15 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter, She was a member of the Adventist church from 1982 to the present day, She is a feisty, friendly woman, Always with faith in God, a woman who was always supportive of everyone, Hortencia was a woman who always did everything for her family, she traveled to the United States in 1999 to seek a better life and where she has lived to this day with her family. She will be greatly missed, as she was always loved by everyone. See you one day tanxinha.

Visitation will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA on Sunday, February 9th from 5 to 8 pm. Her funeral will be held at the 7th Day Adventist Church, 65 West Elm Street, Brockton, MA on Monday, February 10th at 10:30 a.m. Interment immediately following at Calvary Cemetery, 163 North Cary Street, Brockton.
