To watch the live stream of Roger's service, click the following link: Russell & Pica YouTube Channel Hubert "Roger" Hill, 81, of Brockton passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 after a courageous fight with cancer. He leaves behind his cherished wife Joyce E. (Harris) Hill of 55 years. Born on June 6, 1939 in Boston, he was the son of the late Joseph Hill and Alice B. (Hurst) Hill, Roger moved to Brockton at 8 years old with his late brother Joseph "Joey" Hill. After graduating from Brockton High School, Roger enlisted in the United States Navy and served for 6 years. After he was discharged, he worked at Drapper Bros. for several years and then started at Brockton Housing Authority. After over 30 years, Roger retired and enjoyed his hobbies and family. He loved working with his hands in the yard and on his house. He also loved to fish, listen to jazz, go to the casino, watch old Wild West movies and crime shows. Roger was cherished by his in-laws David and Judy Harris, Ruth Morant, Louise-Ann Harris and Robert Harris. His gentle personality is reflected in his nieces, nephews and dear friends. Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.(Rt.123), Brockton on Saturday, April 10th from 9-10:30 AM with a service at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
