Obituary

Ida Souza, 89 years, of Brockton died Tuesday August 18, 2009 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was born, raised and educated in Taunton, a daughter of the late Manuel, Sr. and Mary (Gracia) Souza and had been a resident of Brockton for most of her life. She enjoyed watching TV, was an avid bingo player and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Souza and his wife Ann of TX; two daughters Rachel Gurley and Bonnie Phillips both of Brockton; eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine Souza of Brockton; Mary Stracqualursi of E. Bridgewater; a brother Manuel Souza of Halifax and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday, Aug. 29, from 1-2pm.
