Obituary

Irene B. (Moran) Maxim, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater after an extensive battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was the wife of the late David A. Maxim, Sr. Born in Falmouth, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Moran) Doyle, Irene worked as a homemaker for many years and was always lending a helping hand to those in need. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, dancing the jitter bug, and spending time with her family, especially her cat, Rocco.
Irene was the mother of Roxanne Hannigan of Brockton and the late Margaret E. Robbins and David A. Maxim, Jr. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Patrick Demers, Kelly Cheetham, Jason Robbins, Bradford Maxim, and her devoted, beloved granddaughter, Brittany Waugh; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Irene was the sister of the late Katie, Dot, Frannie, Theresa, Jimmy, and Bobby.
Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, Irene's family asks that donations be made in her honor to Team Irene with the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org, or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 60 Walnut St, Wellesley, MA 02481.
