Irene F. McLaughlin Irene F. (Carlozzi) McLaughlin, 71, of Brockton and Wareham, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at her home in Wareham surrounded by her family after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. McLaughlin, Sr. of the Brockton Fire Department. Born September 23, 1935 in Braintree, she was the daughter of the late Frank Carlozzi and Inez (Benotti) Carlozzi. Irene worked 30 years for the Brockton Public Schools as a Teacher Aide; Librarian, and Hearing and Vision Technician. Irene loved quilting, bowling, sewing, knitting, cooking, reading, traveling, a good laugh, and her children and grandchildren. She has been a Brockton resident for 60 years. She is survived by her children, Karen A. Shea and her husband Rusty of Easton, Frank M. McLaughlin of Brockton, Theresa M. Gillis and her husband Hugh of Brockton, Raymond J. McLaughlin, Jr. and his wife Maureen of East Bridgewater, Anne Sylvia and her husband Brian of Middleboro, Kathleen Papineau and her husband Richard of Brockton; her brother, Frank Carlozzi of Wareham: she is also survived by 9 grandchildren, several nephews, cousins, friends, and her devoted loving dog, Ginger. She was the sister of the late Roderick Carlozzi. Funeral Information A funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul on Saturday at 9:00AM in Christ the King Parish, 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton. Private cremation will follow.
