Obituary

Online Obituaries Irene Tighe of Easton, surrounded by loved ones, passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, February 9, 2015 at the age of 81. She was the beloved wife of her high school sweetheart, Lloyd Mitty Tighe, for 61 years and mother to Michael and Bradford Tighe, both of Easton. She grew up in Brockton, attended Brockton High School where she was a head cheerleader, spent childhood summers on Pinehurst Beach in Onset and later moved to Easton, where she raised her family and lived for more than 50 years. Irene was known to many in her Executive Management role at Sears, where she took much pride in influencing the careers of her employees. She loved watching sports and was her childrens and grandchildrens biggest fan. Irene loved vacationing in Aruba with her husband, friends and family. She also enjoyed cooking, baking and hosting poolside cookouts. She will be remembered for her remarkable strong will, witty sense of humor and keen fashion sense. Irene is survived by her two children, Michael Tighe and his wife Mary, Bradford and Jeannette Tighe; her five grandchildren, Christopher Tighe and wife Kathryn, Kristin (Tighe) Coe and husband Brian, Bethany Tighe and fianc Tony Camarota, Katelyn Tighe and Katharine Tighe; and her two great grandchildren, Jackson Coe and Samantha Tighe. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Ethel Davis of Bass River and eldest sister to her four surviving siblings, Ruth Kutka of MA, Richard Davis of ME, Barbara LaMothe of MA and Robert Davis of VT. Funeral Information Calling hours will be held in the Funeral Home, Saturday, Feb. 14th from 2:00pm -4:00 pm. Funeral Service omitted. Interment will be private.
