Born June 29, 1924 in Cape Verde, she was the daughter of the late Artur Viera Andrade and Cessaltina Correia. She is survived by her children, Armandinha Monteiro of Cape Verde, Armando Monteiro of California, Candida Monteiro of Portugal, and Aquino Monteiro of Brockton; she is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 6 brothers, 3 sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
