Obituary

J. Frank Falanga J. Frank Falanga , 80, of Brockton, died Friday evening, March 26, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center after a period of failing health. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Fernandes) Falanga. Born March 24, 1930 in Boston, he was the son of the late Frank Falanga and Lena (Loduca) Falanga. He served in the United States Army from 1947 to 1950. Frank's career was spent in the music business for many years. He was a Public Relations Representative for Warner Brothers Records on the East Coast. He worked with celebrities, such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jimmy Durante and many others. When he left the music business, he was the owner of Frank's Donut Shop and Joey's Place in Brockton. He enjoyed fishing from his boat, "Popeye", his garden and feeding the birds. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy (Fernandes) Falanga; his son, Robert Falanga and his wife Diane of East Taunton; his daughter, Nancy Falanga of Taunton; his grandchildren, Shauna Falanga Liverotti and her husband Gianni of FL, Joseph F. Falanga of Quincy, Michael Mayer, Jr., of Taunton and Melanie Mayer of Norton; his great grandchildren, Matteo and Daniel; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and his pal, Bojon. He was the brother of the late Marie Rufo. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday, March 31st at 8:00AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Tuesday 5:00-8:00PM.
