Online Obituaries BROCKTON Senior Chief Petty Officer James E. Angelini (Mim), 96, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Doris L. (Hickey Kiernan) Angelini. Born May 28, 1919 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Nicola and Vincenza (Tironi) Angelini. Honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1960 after 20 years of service. He was involved in wartime services in the Pacific Theatre, most memorably the invasion of Okinawa. Following the war, he was involved in Naval Air Aviation at the Naval Air Stations in Brunswick, ME; Squantum, MA and South Weymouth, MA. In 1960, he became a member of middle management at the Raytheon Company Missile Systems Divisions in Andover, MA. He completed 24 years with Raytheon as the Inventory Control Manager (Hawke Missile) and in Special Project Management (Sidewinder Missile, Lowell). He retired in 1984. He was a member of The Fleet Reserve, the DAV, the VFW and the ITAM Vets. As well as a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1950. He received his Bachelors Degree from Boston College in 1960 and completed his Masters Degree in 1970. He is survived by his loving companion, Anne Princigalli of Brockton; beloved dog, Little Bit; his son, James J. Angelini and his wife Laura of West Chester, OH; three grandchildren, Ashley Antoline and her husband Chris of Lakewood, CO, Matthew Angelini and his wife Tori of Charlotte, NC and Alissa Angelini of Columbus, OH; one great grandchild, Barrett Antoline. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Sue Angelini and Mary Infascelli and a brother, Daniel Angelini. Funeral Information Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Saturday, January 16th from 10:00-11:00AM followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
