Condon of Avon, James B. Condon, Jr. of Waltham, Christopher J. Condon and his wife Gail S. King of Dover, MA and Mia Flores of Brockton.
Memorial visitation at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 4-8 pm. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Friday at 9 am. Burial at a later date in Melrose Cemetery. Donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Middleboro Skilled Care Center, Residents Fund, 23 Isaac St., Middleboro, MA 02346.
Obituary
James B. Condon died Saturday evening at Middleboro Skilled Care Center after a lengthy illness, the son of the late John J. and Ellen (Gould) Condon. He was born in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1945. He served in the US Navy during WW II and received a bachelor degree from Boston College, Class of 1950. At the time of his illness he had been the business manager for many years at the Tropical Banana Company in Brockton. Mr. Condon was past member of Knights of Columbus Seville Council in Brockton and past president of the South Shore Boston College Club. He was an avid golfer and a long time member of Thorny Lea Golf Course and he also loved to travel and summered for many years at Popponesset Beach.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Jean M. (Tullie) Condon, his five children, Gregory J. Condon and his wife Susan of Needham, Paul F. Condon of Avon, James B. Condon, Jr. of Waltham, Christopher J. Condon and his wife Gail S. King of Dover, MA and Mia Flores of Brockton, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Joseph Condon and Mary O’Connor
