James Arthur Cosby James A. Cosby, 79 of Brockton died Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Embassy House in Brockton. Born February 4, 1930 in Greenville, Alabama, he was the son of the late Donnie and Sadie (Cosby) Smith. James was a construction worker until the age of 69. He loved to cook. He loved flowers, plants, music and gardening. James was the oldest of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children, Jamie Meadows, Shawn Meadows, and Angela Jenkins; his brothers and sisters, Mary M. James, Maggie Briskey, Maria Gooden, Johnny M. Presley, Nell Butts, Sadie Gresham, Gail Presley, Catherine Blunt, and Jacquelyn Ingram; his 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late James "Buster" Presley and the brother of the late Calvin Presley, Bob Presley, Elizabeth McCoy, Charles Presley, Curtis Presley, Lois Busby, Fred Jr. Presley, and Edward Presley. Funeral Information Calling hours in the New Life Christian Church, 184 West Elm Street, Brockton on Saturday, November 7th from 10:00-11:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM.
