James Jimmy Lambrakis, 65, of North Easton, passed away unexpectedly while on vacation in Greece on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Sofia (Smiliotopoulos) Lambrakis.
He was born in Crete, Greece on October 4, 1950, to the late Irene and Emmanuel Lambrakis. Jimmy was a proud sheep herder in Crete and worked on the ships (international maritime commerce) in Greece prior to migrating to America in 1972.
Jimmy made such a profound presence in his community. He was so proud of his business, Supreme House of Pizza, working hard and creating a successful business. He came to America with just the clothes on his back and was able to accomplish so much in the little time he was here with us on earth. Heaven has truly gained another angel that will never be forgotten.
Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Sofia Lambrakis of North Easton; his four children, Irene Anastasiou and husband Peter of Canton, Elaine Follo and husband Timothy of Bridgewater, Theoni Lambrakis and husband Evangelos Ntagkinis of North Easton and Emmanuel Lambrakis and wife Crystal of North Easton; and his sister, Maria Kefalaki of Crete, Greece. He is also the proud papou of 10 grandchildren, Sofia, John and James Anastasiou; Irene and James Follo; Dimitrios and Panagiotis Ntagkinis and Dimitrios, Maki, and Georgio Lambrakis. Jimmy will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends and patrons here in America and Greece.
